Holy Thursday Poem

Take This Cup

 

No bloodied hands

can lift this cup.

No thirty pieces

of conscience can

weigh it down.

No crowing cocks

can hide its cracks.

Nor anyone turn

starlight off

since Silence fills

the cup.
